It’ll be New Year’s in less than an hour but it’s still technically 2019 here in the U.S. and by golly, if barely squeezing in our final thoughts on seasonals at the last hour isn’t the most On Brand move possible, I don’t know what it is. We’re making it work, though; 2019’s coming to a close and we’ll have some year-in-general posts throughout January, but before that, it’s time to qualitatively rule on what we thought of this fall’s offerings. Buckle up and never mind the inevitable lapses in proofreading.
October has brought a nor’easter to Yata’s corner of the country and tornadoes to Haru’s neck of the woods, but neither could keep us from the better stuff this month had to offer: a whole new slate of anime to check out. It’s the final season of the year and the decade as well, so we each approached this crop of shows with some contemplation and a secret desire to free up some other time. That turned out to be more difficult than expected, however. It may not be quite as loaded as this winter was, but these fall shows aren’t slouching. Which ones have we thinned out? Which ones are our early favorites? Find out below on this update from For Great Justice!
Hey, everyone! Sorry we’ve been a little slow in such a busy time of the year. Instead of running down the year’s best shows on a show-by-show basis, we thought of something a little more unique. A little more flashy. A little more fun to do. Yes, that’s right, Haru and Yata have come up with 33 categories and brainstormed who and what deserve these prestigious (?) anime-related awards from the year 2014. There are a lot of repeated winners – after all, this is to recognize what we thought were the best of the best and the worst of the worst, and as the saying goes, the cream rises to the top. We agree a lot, though occasionally we felt it necessary to deviate from each others’ opinions. Below are our award winners and explanations. Have a blast reading, and if you’d like, feel free to comment with your own winners.
Hey folks, it’s us again. I think we’ve decided to do these write-ups every three to four weeks or so, for what it’s worth. Now that the fall season has settled into its groove , Yata and Haru are here to run down how a handful of shows are faring. LK will show up eventually. Maybe. Who knows at this point? Oh, and we wish you a happy Thanksgiving and all that. Try not to overeat. Spend your time watching the great stuff you’ve been putting off for so long, and if your opinions happen to align with ours, fantastic.
It’s dangerous to go alone though. Take this:
“It’s the end of the first quarter and the Great Justices have a 14-0 lead over the Rest of the Anime Blogging Community. Spectacular touchdowns by this great duo.”
Not really, but it never hurts to dream, right?
Haru and Yata run down what they’ve stuck with past the season pilots, as well as address two shows carrying over from the summer season. Here are our thoughts on fall, one-fourth in.
